Heard the unique drone of twin engines above me Wednesday afternoon and looked up to see a B-26!

Enhance......

That twin tail leads me to believe you saw a B-25, not a B-26. The Marauder had a single tail. I think there is only one airworthy Marauder left.

Could have been a B-25. I was focused on track practice when it flew over, so spent most of the brief overflight watching a high-jumper while simultaneously trying to dig my phone out so I could take the picture. On my first glance it was directly approaching and I couldn't make out the tail, on my second (and last) glance, it was heading toward the sun. I was lucky to grab the photo.

The WWII planes were always my favorite at the air show. I was always partial to the P-38.

I'm an air show junkie, and I much prefer the old prop planes to the modern planes. Jet fighters are cool, but there's nothing like the sound of those old radials beating up the field.

That compliment goes to ttyymmnn for catching the twin tails.

Low passes by a P-51 are hard to beat!

Low passes by jets are just deafening.
